To understand how our marketplace works, it's very important to understand the differences between a product and a listing.
A Product designates a device with a unique set of inherent attributes (model, make, color, carrier compatibility, specs, etc) while a listing refers to the offer a merchant makes on it.
Every merchant can create a listing on an existing product in our database. If the product you want to sell doesn't exist in our database, you can create it, after which any merchant will be able to create a listing on it. So, several merchants can create listings on the same product.
The product page displays the 5 listings that have the buybox for that product (one for each of the 5 grades). As such, information related to the product itself will never appear to change, whereas elements related to the listing, such as price, shipping options, and warranty, will change depending on which merchant has the buybox.
If you want to get more information about all the specific fields related to products and listings, you can read our documentation: https://doc.backmarket.fr/#product-listings.
